My Students
Our school is nestled in an eclectic and diverse area of the Wasatch Front in Northern Utah. My second grade class bubbles with creativity, wonder and energy. My students are inquisitive little bees, buzzing to and fro to take in the world around them through academic experiences, creative expression, and endless questions for their teacher and families. My students come from a wide variety of backgrounds, speaking different languages and arrive at school from many diverse demographics and experiences. Their varied life experiences and cultural diversity bring so much joy to our classroom.
My Project
My students have many opportunities to access technology during the school day, however, this access to tech becomes stunted when headphones are glitchy or missing. High-quality headphones for each student in my class will enrich the learning experience by providing quality sound to accompany their learning. Content specific programs for math and language arts, music, and online books will enrich the school day. Clear sound will also improve the exposure to academic language, dialogue, and context clues. A class set of headphones will also ensure that each pair will remain clean and hygienic, as each student will be assigned their own set for the school year.
