We have a wonderful group of third grade students. Our students live in the Queen Village section of Philadelphia. They are students from a variety of backgrounds, with a variety of needs and skills. The students bring excitement and enthusiasm to the day and everything they do.My average day in the classroom begins when I welcome my 3rd grade students, including regular, special, and emotional needs children into our class. I want my students to succeed.
The students in my class are the happiest, most resilient group of students you have ever seen.
They work hard, never give up and were ALWAYS eager to try new things! Our neighborhood and school are truly diverse in many ways. I hope supplying them with new resources will increase their level of learning and show them how many people really do care about them.
My Project
Currently, our students use headphones to log in and complete lessons on the math websites. Many of the headphones are broken or damaged due to regular wear and tear and there is very little money in the budget to purchase new ones at this point in the year. This is especially problematic for students who are falling behind with their math skills because the programs that help them are usually the ones where the equation is read out loud to them. They benefit greatly from hearing the equation and following along on the screen, however, that cannot happen without headphones
