My students need 40 headphones for online programs and to be able to listen to books online.

My Students

My students attend school in an inner city Title I School District. Our school has had funds reduced every year. This has taken a huge toll on everyone. I have purchased almost all the supplies my students will need this year. However, I am unable to afford everything on my own.

My students are in desperate need of headphones.

Once a week my class is able to use Chromebooks. I would love to use them so my students can read their favorite books and watch science videos. Right now each student is only able to stay on for 12 minutes because we have to rotate because I only have six headphones, not nearly enough.

The headphones that I do have are old, and are not made for tiny ears. Even after the short time my students are online, they are complaining that their ears hurt. I need more headphones, and headphones that are made for third graders.

My Project

My students will use these materials for many different programs. The headphones will be used while the students watch online videos for math, and science. Some students need extra help and being able to see problems in different ways. Also, I can't do every science experiment in class so having access to videos is huge!

Headphones are a need for our online reading programs.

The program reads books to the children as they follow along. This helps my low learners, as well as my English Language Learners. We also have a program that helps with spelling, sentence structure, and grammar.

My class isn't able to do all the things we could because we don't have a class set of headphones. Right now have to share the six I have, and only get about 10 minutes on the computers; not nearly enough time.
