My Students

I have 80 amazing students that I serve for English Language Arts each day. They walk through the classroom door coming from different races, backgrounds, socioeconomic statuses, and learning abilities. We are a family; we work as a team to reach our goals.

We live, laugh, and learn with an enthusiasm that is contagious.

These students are talented artists, musicians, writers, and historians. They are so eager to learn new things and take that learning and apply it to everyday life. We have all embraced the responsibility of learning and know that our futures will be brighter because of it.

Our classroom mantra, adapted from the great Rita Pierson:

I am somebody. I was somebody when I came, and I'll be a better somebody when I leave. I am powerful and I am strong. I deserve the education that I get here. I have things to do, people to impress, and places to go. Yeah!

My Project

Our school district has provided a Chromebook for each student at our school. Now, all we need is for every child to have a nice, working pair of comfortable headphones to complete the 'digital learning experience.'

Headphones will keep the 'working noise' to a minimum and learning at the maximum!

My students are creating amazing digital products online. They need these headphones to enhance learning and focus.

Whether they are aiding them in the education process, helping them hear better or blocking out sound during tests, headphones are an indispensable tool for students. Quality educational headphones will help my students reach their full potential.
