This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students love to learn. They come to school every day ready to learn and to have fun. They come from low income households and their parents are sometimes unable to provide the supplies they need for school. My school is a Title I school that struggles to get everything the children need.

Despite everything they go through at home, these children still strive and succeed.

They have come a long way from the beginning of the year. I want to be able to provide everything that they need in order to keep succeeding.

My Project

We are blessed to have iPads for the kindergarten classrooms but we do not have enough working headphones for each student. Some students have brought in their own set but they do not last long and they can become tangled.

I am asking for help in getting a class set of headphones so that my class and my future class may use them.

This will make a big difference in the classroom environment. Right now, the sounds from the iPads can become distracting without headphones. I want to be able to have my own class set so the library can use the other ones for other purposes.
