These audio books will help increase the students reading skills and listening comprehension skills. During center time, two students can be sitting at the listening center, listening to a book that was introduced earlier in whole group or the story is based on the learning topic for the week.. After listening to the book, the students can answer questions about the story. The students can also point out certain high frequency words while listening to the story. Looking at a text and hearing the words will help increase high frequency word recognition. These audio books will be a tremendous help to the students learning. It will be a great addition to the literacy centers.
