My Students
My students are enthusiastic learners and are beginning to understand and appreciate their environment and the world they live in. They enjoy hands-on activities and experiments. They appreciate anything that is donated to our class.
My Kindergarten students are eager to learn and become great mathematicians and scientist.
However, we lack some supplies to fulfill their needs. I teach wonderful, curious, and active students who live in a low income, high poverty area of Los Angeles. The majority of my students are second-language learners.
My Project
Our Kindergarten class is very fortunate to have a set of 26 iPads that were given to my class through a grant. My students use their iPads on a daily basis in the classroom for building math and reading skills. I find it very difficult for my Kindergarten students to focus when 26 different iPads are all going on at the same time.
The headphones are the perfect solution to eliminate any outside distractions or inside noises that will cause my Kinder student's to be distracted from completing their task.
In addition, the headsets will also allow me to work with a small group of children without having to raise my voice so that they can hear me and not the tablets. My students would be thrilled if each one of them could own their own headset. The individual headphones would also be a great idea because they would help with hygiene issues.
