Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are 7th, and 8th-graders who come from low socioeconomic backgrounds and oftentimes require additional supports that are not provided by local district funding.

My students are full of hope and desire to prove they are capable of succeeding and overcoming their learning disabilities.

This desire is showcased in the way that they come to school with a willing spirit. My students, along with all students deserve equal opportunity to have access to materials and equipment.

My Project

Being in school post distance learning has resulted in students doing most assignments on the computer. My students need headphones for in the classroom to help with their comprehension and focus. Headphones will help their comprehension and understanding because they'll be able to use text-to-speech to listen to academic texts and questions.

Headphones will allow my students to elevate their learning and make all classroom content/materials more accessible.

With access to headphones, my hope is my students will be more inclined to read materials at their instructional reading level using the read-aloud function.
