Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I work as the digital learning coach for two elementary schools in an urban school district north of Boston. The schools have students from many different backgrounds and come from all over the world! For most of my students, English is a second language and most come from poverty.

Students have limited access to basic technology supplies at home such as headphones.

Students will be either be working from home in a remote or hybrid model this school year. They are hardworking and determined and do not give up! I would love to give them the tools that they need to succeed no matter what the school year looks like.

My Project

Students in our district will be starting full remote this school year. Second graders will be using Chromebooks and will be meeting with teachers daily to participate in virtual Zoom lessons and class meetings.

These headphones will allow students at home to able to focus and participate in these virtual class meetings/lessons as well as other online activities while using the chromebooks.

The features of these headphones will allow students to record using the built in microphone for certain programs such as Seesaw, and to listen to online books and videos.
