My Students

This first period of teaching has been a thrill. I have met my fifth-grade students and let me tell you, they are amazing. Fifth graders are such a fun age group. They understand sarcasm, they can have deep intellectual conversations, they can learn in-depth concepts and think on a higher level. That isn't to say they aren't energetic, creative, fun-loving, and excited to learn!

When I am around fifth graders, my heart is full of joy and laughter; they keep me excited and on my toes at all times.

I am so excited to be teaching these students, and future students to come so that I can help them learn to their fullest abilities and help them grow beyond their own limits.

My Project

My students are on the computers constantly! As fifth graders they use their computers for keyboarding, reading, math, science, you name it! Especially with COVID we are trying to implement a more blending learning classroom. Which means we use our basic programs. We have two programs that students are required to use; one being Core5 and the other is STMath. My students are constantly complaining that there are never enough headphones for everyone. When my students are on Core5 they are listening to how the word is pronounced and trying to spell the word accurately! Without headphones many of them struggle to hear the word. When we aren't using headphones for core programs I am hoping to use them to implement more technology in the classroom and at home. My students would use these headphones every single day. Some of my students need headphones for tests to be read aloud to them. These would be such a great resource to have available to my students.
