My Project

I teach 18 amazing second graders. We are using a program called Amira that helps students with their reading fluency and comprehension. Each student spends time every day reading individually on the Amira program.

Providing headphones for each student would mean I would be able to ensure that every child has access to headphones with microphones, which would, in turn, allow for optimum use of the Amira Learning platform.

This program involves students reading aloud and receiving direct feedback from their computers. While the program itself does not require headphones, having them would significantly aid in keeping my students focused on improving their reading abilities.

We also use several other programs on our Chromebooks that would benefit from having quality headphones.
