Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Our school has a collaboration with Penn State University. Twice a year college students at Penn State University virtually tutor our ESOL students in reading and math on Zoom. They do this for three months in the fall and for three months in the winter/spring. Also, the Penn State college students visit our students and our school twice a year and spend the whole day with our students.
Our students at JPA absolutely love being members of the Reading and Math ESOL Club!
I am requesting headphones so our students can have everything they need for the club. They need the headphones to block out the noise from their classmates.
