Headphones for Our iPads

My students need headphones for the 5 iPads that we have in the classroom and 1 wireless keyboard to support their digital learning.

My Students

We are asking for a headphone for each iPad so that we can use them as stations and for individual use without interrupting other learning that is going on in the room. We also want to take turns being the "Class Blogger" and encourage traditional keyboarding by having a wireless keyboard.

My 5th graders attend a public school that is on a journey to become a Lighthouse School through following the Leader in Me curriculum designed by Dr. Stephen Covey of the 7 Habits of Highly Effective People.

We believe in setting high expectations for our administration, teachers and students. We believe in tracking our data so that we can see if we are reaching those goals.

My Project

While I have 27 5th graders in my homeroom, I teach almost 90 students math each day and want to integrate our iPad-use into as much of our learning as we can. We have many apps we'd like to explore, videos we'd like to create and a blog we'd like to upload to our class website.

Having classroom headphones will immediately allow students to work without disrupting others, and a keyboard will kick-off our blogging adventure.

At this point we have had to limit our iPad use simply due to noise control issues.
