My Students

My students are creative and curious learners. We spend a lot of time working on what we call the four Is. They are: Imagination, Integrity, Intellect, and Inquiry. They absorb ideas like sponges, and are constantly trying to figure out how they can affect change in their world.

My students have taken to heart the quote that they must be the change that they would like to see in the world.

They thrive when they have a real world problem to solve using what they have just learned.

My Project

My students need headphones and cases to store them in so that they can consistently have accesses to working headphones during intensive time. Intensives are an hour a week where students practice math and reading skills at their level on the computer while the teacher pulls individual students to work on skills.

When students don't have headphones, they have to try to focus with multiple students listening to their lessons at the same time.

It makes for a distracting situation. With headphones designated to intensives, students would not have to worry about sharing headphones or using headphones that weren't functioning optimally.
