My Students
I have the most beautiful classroom of kindergarteners. Our school has recently been featured in the kare11 documentary called "Love Them First." We are a proud school that is 82% free and reduced priced lunch and 14% highly mobile/homeless. Many of these bright and brilliant students live in the north side community that the school is located in. My class is full of students that are hard working and enjoy every minute of the learning that happens within our classroom.
My Project
As we head into this new year the students are starting to have the opportunity to explore and use technology within our classroom. Each child needs to be able to dive into each educational program without having distractions around them. This can be achieved if each student has headphones to keep them focused on their own learning.
Technology based educational programs aid in giving students an opportunity to practice and master skills taught within the classroom.
The use of headphones decreases the frustration that sometimes develops when students are unable to hear or stay focused on individual technology use. Providing this opportunity will help students move toward feeling successful as they develop as learners.
