My Students
Our 5th-grade classroom of elementary students consist of culturally different backgrounds in a school that has over 900 students. We are located in a suburb of a major, capital city in an HOA community. This group of students also includes students with Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD).
The students are inquisitive, compassionate, and creative.
Some have an Individualized Education Plan (IEP) that requires positive motivation to help them be successful in a mainstream classroom. It is beneficial for students to connect with their teacher while distance learning.
My Project
Many academic resources used on the classroom Chromebook requires the use of headphones. Assessments require listening to instructions, reading material can be listened by students who need that accommodation, and students use programs that produce sound and can be disturbing to those around them.
This resource is a must have by all students working successfully to achieve the reading and math goals set by our elementary school.
In a classroom of 30 students, it is necessary to limit the disturbance of noise and these headphones will not only help with that, but will offer students a better listening experience when working on programs provided by the internet.
