This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are an amazing group of 4th graders who eagerly participate in learning every day! They are kind, energetic and hardworking. My classroom consists of 30 diverse students. The students have different needs and learning styles. The school that I work in is a Title One, high needs, low income school.
I strongly believe that a comfortable classroom environment has a positive impact on student learning.
Help me give my students the opportunity to sit in comfortable seats while they work.
My Project
My students use laptops for i-Ready lessons and assessments. The students were asked to bring their own headphones in the beginning of the school year, however many of them did not. Some of the students that did bring headphones, couldn't afford durable ones, so their headphones did not last very long. Without headphones, students aren't able to hear the lessons and learn.
My students need headphones so that they can work on the lessons and hear the instructions without distracting each other.
With new headphones, we can replace our broken ones and also have backup pairs for the future. These headphones will greatly benefit my students this year and into the future years. The new headphones will make our daily technology run more smoothly and will keep my students learning.
