My Students

Hello, we are a class of 21 first-grade students! We are very outgoing, vocal, and active. We love to read, write, and practice math. When we walk into the classroom, we always have a smile on our faces and we're ready to learn. Our school gives us a free breakfast to jump-start our morning.

We love to learn with our hands!

Any time we can have manipulatives in our hands, we are happy learners. We also learn best when we work with a partner or in small groups. Discussing our ideas with our peers is essential to our success.

My Project

If my students were gifted these headphones with built-in microphones, they would excel in their 21st-century learning careers. We use technology to reach all students who have varying learning styles so we need headphones with microphones to be successful using our digital technology. For example, one program we use asks students to read the text, record their reading, and listen to the recording back. This benefits students independent reading because they can hear mistakes and correct them or even increase their reading fluency by smoothing out their reading. These headphones would make our digital learning so much better!
