My wonderful students are 8- and 9-year-olds who are bright-eyed and excited about learning. Our rural school is nestled in the country across from a field of horses, which our county is famous for.
Half of my students come from low a low economic background and they often do not have basic supplies like pencil cap erasers and headphones.
They would be so excited for someone to purchase those for them. Something small to you is a big deal to them. Would you make someone's day a little brighter?
My students use laptops daily in a math Response to Intervention class. Also, my math classes are expected to get on math lessons for 45 minutes once a week. Most students cannot afford headphones or earbuds. I bought 25 last year and students are welcome to use them. However, by now most have broken . I'm down to 3 pairs. Kids write in their agendas that they need them for their differentiated lessons but parents have been unable to provide them.
We would really appreciate any help someone might be willing to provide to get my students the headphones they need to be successful.
Thanks for taking time to read this and thanks for your consideration!
