My students need headphones to use with our classroom set of iPads that we have just received at school. These would help to allow students work independently and focus on their work.
As a teacher in a low-income/high poverty school district, my students are faced with several challenges both in and out of the classroom. Despite the many challenges they face, I am looking to keep things simple and provide my students with creative and meaningful learning experiences.
I teach at a Title I school in North Carolina where many of our students receive free or reduced breakfast and lunch.
My students walk into my classroom every day with a smile on their face and they are ready to learn, despite their hardships. I want to provide my students with as many opportunities to grow and learn!
My Project
My kindergarten class has just received a classroom set of iPads through school. We love to use them during class time, but it is sometimes challenging without headphones. A huge part of our day is to use the iPads for independent reading; students are able to use an app on their iPad to have a story read to them.
These headphones would allow me to incorporate more technology in the classroom, as each student would be able to hear their iPad and become independent learners.
These headphones would help to allow students to enjoy working on their iPad and focus on the work in front of them.
After a previous donors chose I had done, I asked for these headphones for my classroom and we love them! The problem is we only have 4 headphones for a class full of eager Kindergarteners! Your donation would go to a class full of loving students who are using their iPads every day to help become better readers and mathematicians.
