My Students

It has been amazing to watch my students persevere through the difficulties presented due to Covid. One of the challenges that we face daily are enough resources for each individual student to avoid sharing. And let’s face it, first graders are learning to be gentle with materials so are seem to go through a more intense wear and tear experience.

Teaching the gifted population, comes with other social and emotional challenges.

Anxiety runs rampant within the population. This just adds to their concerns for safety as their anxiety levels are extremely high, distracting them from their academics, due to the health restrictions and protocols.

My Project

One of the challenges presented by Covid has presented within the classroom has been maintaining safe distance and not sharing resources between students.

In addition first graders are also learning how to be sensitive and careful with class materials to begin with.

So our resources go through more wear and tear per se. I think additional headphones to our classroom would guarantee children having individual resources available regardless of the wear and tear experienced by the headphones. Having additional resources allows us to follow safety guidelines that interrupting our academic process.
