Headphones for Helping Us Hear

Help me give my students headphones so they can hear their assignments better and storage bins so they have a way to keep them from breaking.

My Students

I have an great group of 19 first graders this year. I have 9 girls and 10 boys. I have three students who receive special education services. I also have one English Language Learners. All of them came to me in August with a variety of learning levels and learning styles and all have made progress and are learning their own way and at their own pace.

Each student has a unique learning style that keeps me constantly updating and learning new techniques.

This year I have a mix of artists, singers and athletes. I have some that love science, some that excel with technology and some that love math. However they all love to learn and want to succeed in school.

My Project

I am asking for a set of headphones for my class. We currently have a class set of Chromebooks and like to do many of our assignments on the computer but the noise of 19 computers talking at the same time makes hearing difficult. Using the computer allows me to differentiate assignments and give students what they need to learn. It also helps with engagement.

In 1st grade the children rely on hearing the directions read to them and these headphones would make it possible for them all the hear the directions clearly and distinctly.

This would cut down on student errors and all the frustrations we are currently experiencing.

As with any technology taking care of it is critical and so I am also asking for some desk bins. These bins will help the children stay organized and keep the headphones from being lost or damaged.
