This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students love listening to stories on tape and going on the computer or iPads to work on programs such as Amplify, iReady and Starfall but it can get pretty noisy if they don't have their headphones on. Unfortunately, we only have a few working headphones left. Over the years they've broken or only have sound coming out of one side of the headphone. I love to see my students engaged in their learning but we need some level of quiet time while other students work in their independent centers.
We depend on our technology to engage both struggling and high achieving students.
Learning can be so productive and fun but we need these headphones to help students stay focused while reading and working on their educational learning apps. I'd also Iike to be able to send the headphones home on a lending system so that students can continue to work on their reading and math at home and have quiet learning time.
