Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

I teach at a Title 1 school in the Mississippi Delta. All of my students receive free lunch. My second graders love to use technology. Most cannot afford to buy quality headphones for class. In my classroom, students complete differentiated lessons during intervention time. It can be noisy and extremely hard to concentrate when students are working on different lessons at the same time. Having headphones for each student would eliminate distractions and confusion.

These items will help improve our classroom environment by helping students focus and stay on task.

Please help me provide a pair of headphones for each of my students. Intervention and center times would run more smoothly and be more productive for everyone.
