My Project
Back-to-school season is an exciting time for students, but it can also be financially stressful for families. As a teacher in a small district, I see firsthand how stretched many of our families are during the back-to-school season. That’s why I’m requesting a set of high-quality headphones for our class of incoming 5th graders — to remove one more thing from parents’ back-to-school shopping lists and ensure all students can access digital learning tools equally.
Headphones have become a classroom essential.
Whether students are engaging with interactive lessons, reading along with audiobooks, completing individualized testing, or participating in language development activities, having a reliable set of headphones allows each child to focus and do their best. The difference between a good pair of headphones and a budget pair can be the difference between clarity and distraction.
We’ve been fortunate to have a few pairs of high-quality headphones in the classroom, and after three years, they are still going strong. This shows me that investing in better-quality items is worth it. They last longer, perform better, and are more comfortable for students. This project would allow us to expand that success to more students, without putting an additional burden on families.
I'm requesting durable, classroom-quality headphones that can withstand daily use by students of all ages. These headphones will stay in the classroom, so every student will always have access to a clean, reliable pair when they need it.
