My Students

My third grade students come from very diverse backgrounds and many of them are struggling readers from lower income families. Kids from our school come from all over the world (India, Afghanistan, Ghana, Honduras, and El Salvador, to name a few) in order to receive a quality education.

Because our population is so diverse, my colleagues and I are working towards having as many resources as we can to help all of them succeed.

Every donation is so helpful for these kids!

My Project

My school is lucky, in that it has a wide variety of online reading and math programs that can help meet all students learning needs. Unfortunately, many of our classroom headphones are broken and some students are unable to provide a set to keep in school. Our school does not have a full set for classrooms.

We regularly use the headphones for both practice during independent work time, as well as for our grade level reading assessments.

It is difficult to complete the work and testing without headphones that work consistently.

I know my students and I would be so excited to have a set for our classroom.
