Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are challenged with many hardships before they even enter my classroom. This doesn't stop their eagerness to learn and explore while in my classroom. They attempt to make every day meaningful and positive. A majority of my students live in poverty, which creates many issues daily.
I serve a population who receives free breakfast and lunch.
Students also receive a snack after school and backpack full of food each weekend via a state grant. Despite all of these circumstances, my students continue to grow and inspire me.
My Project
Due to the various issues presented by COVID-19, I'm attempting to change my class to a more student-centered blended model. This requires watching videos for self-paced learning.
In order to achieve this students need headphones to complete various activities.
This will allow students to learn at their own pace and allow me to better meet their needs. Each student will be able to learn at their own pace which is even more critical given the past year and a half for my students. Please donate if you are able to.
