Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Having quality headphones and earbuds in our classroom will make a huge difference in how my students learn! These items will help my 6th grade special education students focus during independent math, math online platforms and activities, and online learning programs. With their own pair, students can engage with educational videos and exercises without distractions. Many can't learn with so much outside noise. Sharing earbuds and headphones is not sanitary.
My goal is to create a classroom environment where every student has access to the tools they need to succeed.
Right now, some students struggle to hear lessons clearly due to background noise, and sharing headphones isn’t always ideal. These headphones and earbuds will ensure that all students can work comfortably and stay engaged.
My students are hardworking, curious, and eager to learn. They come from diverse backgrounds, and many face challenges outside of school. More than three-quarters of our school population come from low-income households. Despite this, they show up every day ready to do their best. Providing them with headphones and earbuds will help remove barriers to learning and give them a better chance to succeed, in a clean healthy way.
