This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

As a teacher in a low-income/high poverty school district, my students are faced with several challenges both in and out of the classroom. Despite the many challenges they face, I am looking to keep things simple and provide my students with creative and meaningful learning experiences.

Although 100 percent of the students in our school receive free breakfast and free lunch, and many experience hardships, as soon as my students enter the room they are eager to learn and do their best.

My Project

My students have apple devices at our school but they need headphones! These are indispensable considering that each child works at a different level. I am a bilingual teacher and I have Spanish dominant students and many of the programs are individualized on their ipads. They need to hear the sounds for proper pronunciation and proper intonation. This is where you come in!

The headphones will allow each student to receive daily individualized, differentiated instruction.

They will be able to listen and learn and make the most of their last few months in first grade! Next year they will also be able to travel with the headphones and use them for learning. This resource is a necessity to help my students make the progress and gains they need to meet state standards. You will receive beautiful expressions of sincere thanks at the end of this project and you will see the students using the resources and truly benefitting from the experience.
