This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Our students here at our Elementary School are smart, loving and super fun to be around! Our school is very diverse and unfortunately, many of our students live in extreme poverty. Most of the kids here are very eager to learn and love coming to school everyday!

Our students deserve only the best!

They come to school each day with smiles on their faces even though they struggle with personal issues outside of school. I enjoy teaching my kids and I strive to make their school experience the best it can be.

My Project

Everyday, my students complete activities for literacy and math on various educational websites where listening is very important to their success. For literacy and math, my students work on websites such as mobymax.com and ixl.com and while working, they are required to listen and answer the questions.

My students could really use a class set of headphones so that while they are working, they can focus on their task at hand without the distractions of others around them.

Headphones have been a huge issue in my classroom due to expenses and families unable to contribute headphones to their child for the school year. I have purchased cheap headphones for each of my students, but unfortunately, they break and have to be thrown away. New headphones that work well would make a huge impact on my students learning.
