My Students

Hello! I am a first-grade teacher in Charleston, WV. I teach 15 students: 7 boys and 8 girls. My team teacher teaches 8 girls and 9 boys. About 40% are low-income. Each child is special in their own unique way!

I work with an amazing group of first graders who are eager to learn in our class.

Currently, my school is fully 1-on-1 digital, hence all of my students will need their personal headphones to avoid sharing, spreading germs, and disturbing each other while they work. This year, our county is requiring our students to complete 30 - 40 minutes of SuccessMaker a day (Reading and Math Educational Program).

Our school has a strong sense of community, and we work together to meet the needs of all the students we serve.

My Project

Our first grade classes consist of 32 amazing students.

My students need headphones that are durable and sturdy to wear in the classroom.

It is critical that our kids have headphones with strong cords and that are noise cancelling. This will help students focus and master the skills that they are working on. Students work differently; having their own headphones will help them by meeting the needs of working independently and removing distractions to help students focus.

Having a set of working headphones that can withstand student standards is important in many of our school programs.

Students need headphones to access state testing, district testing and progress monitoring assessments. They also use headphones when working with coding and robotics.

Please help me provide a set of headphones for each student in our class that they will be able to keep at the end of the year.
