This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My class is full of enthusiastic learners. Each child has a diverse background with diverse needs. My classroom is very excited to learn new concepts. They love to read. They love to learn.

My students are cultivating and nurturing their mindset to create a variety of different learning strategies.

They are engaged and focused learners. They strive to do their best even when the work seems hard. My students have a positive attitude about their learning environment. Way to go first grade!

My Project

I am asking for headphone sets, sand timers and a seat cushion for my first grade class. The use of these various tools will allow the student to develop different techniques to engage in their environment. I feel they will be worthwhile tools to help my students with the learning process. The tools will offer the students a different way to learn new and familiar concepts.

A use of different strategies are necessary to help develop important academic skills children need to engage in the learning process.

I can utilize these tools to help motivate my students to reach their fullest learning potential.

We need headphones to help with our online reading program. The headphones will help the students stay focused on their task at hand and drown out outside environmental noises. We will be using the timers to help with our addition and subtraction skills. We will use the timers to help increase their fluency and phonemic awareness and reading skills. The cushion will be used to promote self awareness and boost self esteem.
