My Project
My sixth graders love to come to school! They look forward to the day's activities - planned and unplanned - and they enjoy working with manipulatives to help them learn. I am requesting good, quality headphones for my students to use with their Chromebooks. The headphones will be used for multiple subjects in multiple assignments, including student-led activities.
We have many student-centered activities happening in our classroom.
This means we have many opportunities for differentiated instruction, including listening to lessons online, and sometimes we just need to tune others out. Students learn accountability by using tools to complete independent activities - this tool is headphones. We utilize earbuds in a variety of ways in our classroom: keeping out distractions to learn, listening to the technology as the lesson or part of the lesson, listening to an audiobook while following along so they hear the model of fluency, or even just listening to soothing music while we work to increase productivity.
I would love to be able to give my students their own set of headphones in the classroom, since they already come in knowing any supplies that they need, I am there to provide - no questions asked.
