My Students
I have two classes of math and science students. They come from a variety of backgrounds, family situations, and socio-economic status. They have varying ability from below grade level to on grade level, to above grade level, some are even two to three grade levels above where they need to be. However, they all love to learn and especially love math and science.
My students are a great group of kids who love to learn using hands-on techniques.
They love to learn through playing games and small group instruction. They work hard and are curious about what they are learning.
My Project
With having twenty plus students in a room, all working on computers, playing games, listening to videos, doing online research being able to hear the sound on the computer is very important. Students tend to get distracted by other computers which means that they aren't focused on whatever it is they are supposed to be learning.
Having headphones for my students to use will help my students focus on what they are supposed to be doing and learning.
Students watch videos about new skills in math as well as videos on animals for research and other new science content. Being able to hear the videos in crucial to understanding the information.
