My Students

Do you remember your classroom computers? Most of us didn't have computers in elementary school but I remember playing Oregon Trail if I did all of my homework. We are lucky to have computers but need headphones.

My students are full of curiosity and are constantly asking questions.

I hope to instill the love of learning in each of my students. This year I have 26, 2nd graders. Our school is considered high poverty and has limited budgets and resources. We are lucky to be a Title 1 school and get many resources for reading but once they break or run out, we are out of luck.

My Project

My students and I are very lucky to have four computers in our room. The students like to explore educational sites and games, work with online reading and math programs, research for projects, and read books online. Unfortunately, all of our headphones have broken one by one throughout the years. I love for my students to use the computers but I often have to turn off the sound because the games or books get too loud while I am teaching other students. I would like my students to be able to play the educational games and listen to the books online while using their new headphones.

My classroom has computers that aren't being used as well as they could be.

By having headphones with each computer, my students could play educational games, read books online and research all they want. Having these headphones would drastically change my center and teaching time. Thank you!
