Headphone and Document Camera for Distance Learning

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
This upcoming school year I will be teaching an outstanding and hardworking group of 3rd graders. They are all native Spanish speakers and English Language Learners. This courageous bunch of students are motivated to learn and enjoy quality time outdoors.
My Project
This year we will be starting out the school year virtually, meaning students will have to learn from home. This can be very difficult for many of my students, especially for those who live with multiple family members who will also be learning and working from home.
If this project is funded, each student will receive a set of headphones that they will be able to use to help them focus from home during distance learning.
This individual set of headphones will allow students to increase their focus during synchronous (whole group instruction) and asynchronous (independent work) instruction/learning.
In addition, I will receive a small document camera that will help me display numerous documents throughout my lessons. This document camera will allow me to model reading and writing strategies as well as mathematical problem solving and skill building. I will also be receiving a Teachers Pay Teachers gift card that will allow me to provide a numerous amount of online resources to support student learning.
