My Students

I teach amazing kindergarten students! These students are venturing into school for the first time. Every student is special and I want them to know that and to feel it every day. I teach at a Title I school and we are a Leader in Me school. I love this program and the character traits this program helps build. The things I get to teach my students because of the program are amazing and help me teach them to be great citizens!

I have a passion for reading!

I want to instill this same passion in my students. Literacy is so important and is a needed skill throughout life. I love that I get to lay the foundation for my students literacy as a kindergarten teacher.

My Project

I will gain instructional strategies and learn research-based practices that will help turn my kindergarten students into successful readers and writers. This conference will help me gain the knowledge and tools I need to build proficient readers and writers in my classroom.

As a kindergarten teacher, I am laying the foundation for my students’ future.

I cannot imagine not doing everything possible to help my students grow. The growth my students have in kindergarten is tremendous and I really want to increase this growth in my students. This workshop will be so beneficial for my current students, as well as my future students.
