My Project

Hi! My name is Linda Rightweiser and I am a 4th grade teacher in North Chicago. My students love to learn. I have 25 students who come to school everyday, no matter what the obstacles are that they may need to endure. We have 24 large fluorescent lights on our ceiling. The glare from the light causes headaches, students have difficulty focusing, and in some cases anxiety. If I turn the lights off then the room is too dark to see the whiteboard or the promethean.

My students need the glare to be muffled.

They come to class enthusiastic about math, science and reading. However, they then have difficulty focusing because they are overwhelmed by the fluorescent lights.

The products that I have selected will block the glare from their eyes. These covers will help the room seem more tranquill. Children who are extra sensitive to the bright lights will be more relaxed and able to focus on what we are working on in class.
