This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
The scholars at my school represent a diverse population including ethnic minority, gender distribution, and special needs. We are in a low income/high poverty school district, with over 90% of our students qualifying for free or reduced-price lunch.
Despite what others may think they know and see, it must be stated that I am honored to work for a school where the scholars I serve go above and beyond each and every day to overcome every obstacle that comes their way.
The relationships that I have and continue to build with my scholars are second to none, and it's because of them that I am the educator that I am today and will grow into for years to come.
My scholars are tenacious in their desire to achieve at the highest of levels. Each year, they come to me as empty cups ready to be filled with the knowledge that I am able to provide to them despite the challenges that they may have in life. Some say they will become a statistic. I vow to assist them in rewriting that narrative and allowing them to see that they are MY WHY!
My Project
As an instructional coach to teachers, I work closely with teachers on how best to provide instruction within their classrooms. Teachers are asked often to use their data to drive the instruction in differentiating using small groups and one on one situations. with students in classrooms to help teachers provide the supports needed to ensure optimal academic student success!
The addition of the headphones within our classes will be able to allow teachers to utilize small group and individualized instruction so that students are able to focus on assignments that are provided to them.
Being able to do this is important to the goals we have set within our classes and with your support of this project we will be able to use these headphones to provide the support needed for our students.
