My Students
I love my students. They come from a lower socioeconomic background, they are very transient, and they all have some type of learning disability. They come from families that struggle with addiction and most receive some type of financial assistance.
Sadly, many of them do not have great role models at home, and they don't get the academic support they need.
As a result, we spend a lot of time in our resource classes trying to keep them caught up with classwork so that they can be successful.
My Project
We use Chromebooks for almost everything in my room. The students use them to complete homework assignments, do research for projects, access learning sites and to complete credit recovery. While my students are amazing about sharing the two chrome books we have, having several more will allow more students to work at one time.

Academic success does not come easy for them. Having Chromebooks to use will not only help them to be more successful, it will allow them to feel better about themselves and what they can accomplish.
