This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students need to learn about the issues, problems and triumphs of students their age. Learning about Malala through the documentary "He Named me Malala" will help my students understand how one person can truly change the world.
My students are from around the world.
My students are recent immigrants and are eager to learn.
My students are learning World History and Geography and have a Regents Exam they must pass. Watching this documentary will help my students understand how Malala became the youngest recipient of the Nobel Peace Prize.
My Project
My students will watch the the private screening as a school. This event will be a memorable experience for them and an opportunity of a lifetime.
My students will learn about issues that people face around the world such as armed conflict and gender biases.
Watching the documentary "He named me Malala" will motivate my students in learning about different cultures and learning how the world responds to acts of violence when children and women are impacted.
