My Project
Students will be using art supplies to create Ahupua'a Poster project depicting Hawaiians living and surviving on the land division in Ancient Hawaii before Western arrival. They will need to draw and color Hawaiians doing activities in the land division--fishing, hunting, farming, gathering, building, canoeing, etc. They will need to depict native plants, trees, and animals with native Hawaiian structures.
Art supplies will be used throughout the year to create quality art projects for Hawaiian history class during the monarchy.
Visual timelines, campaign posters, and historic events to depict causes and effects in Hawaiian history with the various monarchs. Students participating in this class come from various backgrounds and cultures who need to learn about this place they live in.
