Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

I work at Mission High School in San Francisco as an Inclusion Support Teacher. In this program my students are included in general education classes as well as participate in a Life Skills program. As part of this program, the students run a cafe once a week where they sell coffee, tea and snacks to tired, hungry teachers. To enhance this program for my students I need a mini refrigerator and a convention oven. With these materials my students will be able to practice there cooking skills and safely store what they bake. Your donation would help ten students with severe disabilities gain the life skills they need to maximize there independence. The school I work in is urban and predominately the students come from low socioeconomic backgrounds.
