Giving students learning opportunities that present themselves as play allows for greater knowledge growth. We have a group of diverse, loving, creative kids who are yearning for learning opportunities beyond those you can find in a book.
We have two classes of preschoolers ranging in age from 3 to 5 who are ready to learn and grow.
We have a nice, large space to call our school home. We love rearranging and changing our environment to reflect themes! The students help to make their space creative and fun for everyone to enjoy.
My Project
The students love to build and create within the classroom. We enjoy picking up small pieces and stacking, we love to write and practice self help skills.
The materials being requested will allow the students to take part in fun activities while developing stronger fine motor skills.
We will be able to use the two sets of rainbow blocks to differentiate size, sort by color and balance to build. The students will be able to practice one to one correspondence and sacking with the small color cylinders. A major goal in preschool is to create independence, the dressing boards will give students an extra opportunity to practice zipping, buttoning, snapping, fasting and lacing. Letter knowledge and pencil grasp are also very important for kindergarten readiness, the lowercase magnatab puzzles will give the students one more great activities to perfect these skills.
