This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students enjoy their independent reading time where they can choose a comfortable place in the classroom to read a book of their choice. These new books will help my students to continue to learn about what it means to have: a growth mindset, self-management, self-efficacy, and social awareness. The Mindfulness Cards will help my students practice their conversation skills by providing topics that will help them understand each other better.
With these books, my students will continue developing the necessary skills needed to develop healthy relationships with their peers and with themselves.
In addition, the Spanish SEL books Yo Puedo Hacer Cosas Dificiles and El Dia Que Descubres Quien Eres will provide the same learning opportunities for my newcomers.
