My Students

I have an amazing group of fourth graders this year! They consist of a diverse group of kids with many different learning styles. I have learners from all cultures, socioeconomic backgrounds, and learning abilities. While it may seem like a large variety, put them all together and you have a perfect class!

My kids work cooperatively with their peers to help guide them on assignments and walk them through strategies to be successful.

Every student in my class knows their role and holds themselves accountable for that role, whether it be a timekeeper, a focus friend, a peer tutor, or just a cheerleader.

Despite our differences, we always strive for success, we never give up, and we know that mistakes make us better learners. We are a team, and we start each day ready and eager to learn!

My Project

Every school has them. The little ones who lack self-confidence and don;t like to participate in class discussions. They may have a learning disability, speech impediment, or they just simply are the quiet kid who is reluctant to speak up in front of their peers. This group of diverse learners often gets overlooked during class conversations because even if they are called on, we often cannot hear or understand their response. Every teacher has those children who hide in the background as soon as a question is presented. Well, we need a way to reach these amazing kiddos!

My classroom would benefit from adding a Qball throwable microphone into our daily learning.

This tool would help me to engage even the most reluctant learners and make every student feel safe and comfortable in front of their peers!

The Q-ball will instantly boost classroom engagement and participation! By being able to catch a ball, speak into it, and then getting to throw it to another student, students are more motivated and willing to answer questions. The Q-ball will be a great tool for me to add to my classroom and will be sure to make learning more fun!
