My Project
My scholars love to read and enjoy the flexibility of sitting anywhere in the classroom or in the hallway! What I most love about my students is their ability to recommend their favorite books to classmates! I often see them pause at a funny part of the book they are reading to show the page to the classmate next to them. Watching young readers giggle and point to a sentence warms my heart.
Flexible seating in the classroom allows students to comfortably lose themselves within the pages of a good book, while sitting in a place where they are most at peace.
Flexible seating gives students the ability to regulate their emotions in a quiet place. Flexible seating gives children an opportunity to calm themselves with a book of their choice. Whether they are in front of the book baskets, near the closets, under a window that's facing the yard or right next to the teacher's desk (the most quiet spot), a good pillow allows for young readers to sit and enjoy reading. Your donation would provide options for flexible seating in my classroom.
