My Students

My classroom is full of many different students. Students from different backgrounds, cultures, styles of learning, etc. I have learned this year especially that all my students learn in different ways. That can be through hands-on, whole group, independent practice, etc. With high stake testing happening it is sometimes nice for my students to get a break and enjoy interacting with one another in small groups to improve their skills and practice the skills being taught.

I strive to make my classroom a safe place for my students to come and learn.

I want every student in my classroom to know that they are capable learning no matter their level. Without classroom learning my students wouldn't be able to think outside the box, develop stronger social skills, and put their learning and knowledge to the test.

My Project

This year I have a wide range of students working at different levels. I am also really trying to incorporate more student lead learning and I think that comes with making math fun.

Instead of just using worksheets all the time, I like my students to showcase their talents and master their skills through games, whiteboard practice, etc.

Some of the materials needed are also for game storage.I know that when kids are "playing" while learning it seems to stick more. It also creates an amazing classroom community together! They learn to trust each other and become more open to helping one another succeed in the classroom and out of the classroom.
