My Project

Having good quality reeds will make all the difference for my woodwind students! Without this essential part of their instrument, they cannot make music successfully in band class. Currently, I have had to purchase low-quality reeds that break and wear out after only a few uses. There are many days were students have to go without a reed due to the complications that come with the resources that we are using now.

The goal of this project is to help my students feel successful and confident again in their playing abilities!

I know they have it in them, but the lack of high-quality resources makes them doubt and lose confidence in themselves. I want to bring smiles back to their faces when they think of performing and encourage them to always have fun and make music, even after they have graduated and left my classroom. Many of my students come from tragedy and poor circumstances, which is why I want to be able to bring some type of light and positivity to their lives through music!
