My Project

Integrating a 3D printer into my Mechatronics classroom would really change our approach to learning and innovation. We would no longer be confined to traditional materials like cardboard and glue, students could translate their ideas into tangible creations. The ability to design and produce custom parts and prototypes empowers students to address real-world engineering challenges with creativity and ingenuity. By encouraging originality and design thinking, this technology fosters a culture of exploration and experimentation, where students take ownership of their projects and push the boundaries of what's possible. Furthermore, actively involving students in the entire printing process, from conceptualization to troubleshooting, not only cultivates essential technical skills but also instills confidence and resilience in the face of challenges.

I want my classroom and lab to become a hub of collaboration and exploration, where laughter and excitement fuel a dynamic learning environment.

My students are special and not a day goes by where I am not thankful for my job!

Seeing the 'aha' moment on a student's face when they discover or learn something new is an incredible feeling and I want to be able to provide that to all of my students! A 3D printer will give all of my students the chance to think outside the box and get them even more excited about their learning!
